This book is a collection of state-of-the-art summaries of marine sciences of the Arabian Sea and Coastal Pakistan. Most of the papers were presented at the first US-Pakistan workshop in marine science held in Karachi in November 1982. Both specific and general aspects are covered; for example, the geology of the Makran Coast, the Indus Delta, sedimentary processes, tectonics, paleoceanes, hydrography and biological oceanography of the Arabian Sea, marine ecosystems, air-sea interactions, and upwelling.
